I came, I baked, I arranged – 118 biscuits, 38 cocoa, 80 plain butter ones. Two hours of baking, one hour of writing, half an hour trying to fix my camera phone in a position so I can film myself building the table (fixing a shovel to the top of the kitchen cupboards and then fixing my phone on the shovel handle did the trick).
And here it is – home baked Periodic table of elements. And yes, it took me three tries to get arranging the elements in the right order done in under ten minutes and I cheated a bit on the lanthanides and actinides (sadly, the light plus the green icing make them quite hard to see).
Extra kudos to my non-chemist flatmate who stayed up late, helped me set up the camera and label the biscuits while inventing new names for elements (poor terbium got renamed tuberculosis…)
